International Finance Bank presents donation to the Donald Hopkins/William Cooper Scholarship Fund at the city of Coral Gables Commission meeting
Miami, FL -- In an effort to continue "giving back" to the local communities we serve and to support the development of the under-served youth in our area, IFB presented a check to the Donald Hopkins/William Cooper Scholarship Fund this morning before the City of Coral Gables Commission meeting.
Our very own Director, James T. Barker and former Coral Gables City Commissioner, introduced Mr. Nelson Alvarado to present a $2,500 donation to support the scholarship fund that he founded 20 years ago. Since then, 14 graduates and 9 current college students have benefited from the scholarship. The City administers the funds that are provided directly to the college institution when the selected student maintains a certain grade point average and proves economic need.
We should all be proud of the efforts and initiatives that being implemented at IFB. We are always striving to support the various underserved segments of our community.
